Question on Lady Jaye (spoiler, or maybe not)

How exactly did Lady Jaye die? This site says heart failure, Wiki-you-know-what-ia says stomach failure, and this film said surprisingly little on the subject — and on her in general.

Considering the fascinating subject matter here, I found this film a missed opportunity. It's more of a collection of random home movies than a documentary. And if the intention of Genesis and Lady Jay was really to become the same person, Genesis could have yielded the mike and the camera to h/er wife once in a while. 6/10 stars from me.

The most official reason/cause of her death put forth by those close to them have said that it was lingering complications that arose after she had stomach cancer which itself was treated successfully but the damage it incurred on her while she had it and the symptoms that remained eventually bore down to the extreme on her physically and ultimately killed her. I do partially agree that there seemed to be surprisingly little of her in the film but it was noted that she didn't want the limelight of being in a band and this mentality probably led her to also distance herself somewhat during filming as she did come off a bit reserved while being filmed in a non-performance art context. I'm likely biased since I'm a fanatic of Throbbing Gristle/PTV/P-Orridge in general but I really loved it, definitely both inspiring and heart-breaking, she was absolutely beautiful inside and out and while her abrupt passing at such a young age is a true tragedy I think P-Orridge referring to it as being her "dropping her body" and how she always felt our bodies are just "flesh suitcases" are incredible outlooks on life and death.

Thanks for your insight, HolyShackles! I suspect you are correct on all counts.
