Q1 2012 is not even over and we already have two great movies this year. Movies raising the bar of Indian cinema.
Kahaani wis a good movie with good acting by everyone, Paan Singh Tomar too is a good movie plus awesome acting by Irfaan khan.
So which one you liked most?
I'll definitely go with Kahaani, PST was bit too long and lost its pace in the 2nd half. Kahaani on the other hand don't have any dull moment and technically this movie is a masterpiece.
Feelings can creep up just like that. I thought I was in control.
i would go with PST.Based on true story so no faults in story neither techincally.very good acting by Irfan khan.
Kahaani still has some techincal flaws and many unanswered questions..
I think both films were engaging, yes PST lost its pace in 2nd half but it was due to dilemma in which the Irfaan was, all those values he learned in Army and all those things he lost. Irfaan potrayed the expressinons very well.
Dialouges by Irfaan were the best part of PST, Kahhani on the other hand is slick and don't have any moment of boredom.
I am going with PST because of the acting and dialouges, realized PST has made my dialouges filmy since the day we watched it. Impact of the dialouges is like, We(ma and my friends) are using words like 'Kaho Haan' :D
Haven't seen PST yet.
But its good that both movies are getting sufficient box office time until the release of Agent Vinod. Generally, under presence of high budget mainstream movies such smart good cinema often gets dominated and vanish from theaters quickly.

In my opinion, best 5 Bollywood movies of 2012 are:
1. Shanghai
2. Gangs of Wasseypur
3. Paan Singh Tomar
4. Barfi
5. Kahaani
Both are too different to be compared. Kahaani is a thriller, while Paan Singh Tomar is a more of a biopic that belongs to austere cinema. If anything, you could compare Paan Singh with Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.
