shareI'm gonna play devil's advocate here. Full disclosure: I'm not a fan of Jenelle or David. My reasons are too many to list. However, while I don't think she should change Jace's surname now, if, If she marries the Sasquatch, of course she's gonna want her kids to have her surname which will be Eason, assuming she takes the name. Nathan will never allow it but Jace's daddy doesn't, to my knowledge have a relationship with him at all. It makes complete sense to me.
Now, if Have deserves to have anyone's surname, it's Barbara's. Idk if he carries his father's surname or Jenelle and Barbara's but if it's Barbara's, he should keep it. If it's his father's, it should be changed to Evans.
Jace should have jenelles last name Evans but I don't think she should change his last name to David's just because it will be her last name. It should be changed because she wants herslef & Jace to have the same name AND because Jace sees him as a father & David sees him as a son. She probably doesn't have any say it it anyways since she still doesn't have custody of him.

I agree. This child has been sitting in school for the last couple years writing his name as Jace Evans. These two loons come in and say...NO, Evans is no longer your name? GTFOH. I think if Jace decided he wanted to change his name and had time to really think about it then let him change it. My daughter decided in 2007 to go by her middle name, and on her 18th b'day plans to change it legally. If it were up to me I would allow her to change it as she has made this choice 100% on her own. I think to just go, this is my current fiancee last name let's change the kids names all to match is ridiculous.
