Should have kept going
I hate that "A Gifted Man" ends after one season... there's so much left unexplored.... damn! I want to see more!

Maybe this kid has a ghost that can't seem to move on or get over something.
This ghost can meet the ex-wife and help each other out and that ghost moves on.
At some point we get to see where the ghosts are staying and have some episodes of just their world.
"The Gifted Man" learns how to navigate in both worlds and steps up the pace with his learning how to be more social and more enjoyable to be around.
The ghost world can be used to send messages to other live people to help out each other at the clinic.
Just some thoughts. Any ideas?
