The reason I watched this...

Is because of Eddie Izzard. He is my favorite comedian. I've been a huge fan of his for years and I've enjoyed everything I've ever seen him in. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie and not just because of my bias towards Eddie. I thought it was well written, well cast (though Donald Sutherland felt a bit out of place), well acted, action packed, suspenseful, and I even enjoyed the camera work even though some don't seem to feel the same. I've read on here where people thought it strayed too far from the book and wasn't faithful. While that may be true, I personally believe that if every adaptation stays true to the original source then there is no more element of surprise and as a result that current telling suffers and is therefore become boring. So I welcome change in those regards.
