Not very original

SO I'm watching this right now and it almost seems like they just totally took "The Office" and copied that whole shows' concept.Very disappointing.

I agree. I watch CL, from time to time, but generally only the 'round table' unless the guest really interests me. The skits are overwhelmingly unfunny/dumb (at least to me).

I tried to watch this show 2x now; however, I didn't enjoy it either time. It reminds me of a lot of "comedy" shows over the past few years that seem to find themselves too cool to be funny; however, to me, the whole point of comedy is humor. If I don't want to laugh, I would rather watch 'drama' than un-funny humor.

Yes, because "The Office" is so original. Try wikipedia. You think The Office isn't stolen? Or that it's the first or only office comedy and/or fake documentary show? Not by a long shot, and regardless of After Lately, many other shows in that format have and will come along.

After Lately clearly takes from other shows in getting it's concept, except it is original because it is the first show (that I know of) that is literally about an actual office of an actual talk show (unlike The Office, or 30 Rock or Larry Sanders) where real people who have already established personalities on that show play themselves. Not every show can be fully "original" (almost none are ever since the beginning of tv) but at least this show isn't totally un-original.
