Why did Eugenio Derbez have to be the one who robbed the restaurant? It really messed up the likability for his character in the overall plot and was really unnecessary, I thought. I hated it.

His character did seem a little soft in the head. Also he happened to catch Grace contemplating from taking money from the till and told her that she shouldn't do it.
It would be so nice if something would make sense for a change.

Agreed. I thought, maybe he's not as dumb as he seems and is covering up for Anseidad. It would make more sense coming from her. But no. I just didn't get it.
