Patricia Arquette takes the trailer here. Once she is introduced, she basically narrates. Her presence is strong here, and too bad the film does not focus on her relationship with the child. Instead we have to deal with Mendez....
Agreed. However in this movie, as with a lot of her work, Arquette has a very sympathetic quality (see 'Medium', 'Holes', and 'Flirting with Disaster' for great examples), which I am sure is used for great impact in this film. her 'normalcy' seems to pull people in.
I look forward to her performance; however am not sure how the film itself will play out.
She really is a nice lady. I have met her twice. =)
She will make her character real and honest, no worries. That is what she does, and she is SO good at it. No one does more real and non-melodramatic than her.
Indeed I have. I met her at 2 different Paley Center events, one in LA and another in NYC. She is super sweet, genuine, has bright seafome green eyes, and, as people would not guess, is strikingly beautiful and appears much younger in person. She looks much different on screen than in person.
This is a big test for Eva. Can she carry a movie? Acting and box office wise are both questions. Arquette can acting wise carry a tv show and movie, but her box office is never been proven. I am thinking it is smarter to advertise her more in her upcoming films as 'SAG and Golden Globe nominee'. I think there are a lot of fans from 'Medium' that miss her, and will support her in her back to film adventures.
Well the storyline is from a Latin perspective so it makes sense that Eva got the lead. This is like one of the few movies where she is actually the lead and not just the side chick.
