Bread dipped in coffee

DOES ANYONE ELSE FIND THAT WEIRD

reply

well i think is a mix culture reference.. i guess..

reply

I've seen it done before , people from the Carribean usually the French or Spanish speaking islands do it

Boston and Philly love to slander us, but they don't have as many fans as us

It's a cultural thing. I can remember growing up and having that as a special treat with my dad. He'd do realllllly strong coffee black (with lots of sugar for me) and we'd dunk french bread.

I'm from Virgin Islands. I agree with other poster - French (Haiti) and Spanish (Puerto Rico) islands do that.

I find it weird that you typed that in all caps.

Italian folks do it too.

Nope, not weird at all. It reminded me of when I was coming up. My siblings and I used to dunk our bread in anything we drank.

Yeah it looked weird to me , came to the board to see what she was really doing

Wow, that was really uncalled for. Let's not stoop to name calling.

"She's, like, a biscuit older than me..."

Puerto Ricans do dip, but with milk, not black, & the bread is often buttered. Cubans do it also... don't know about the other Latinos. ( This is on the east coast.)

I am half Italian and they do it all the time. Sometimes if I have a roll with butter I dip it in my Tea. It's actually quite delicious.

Always be yourself. Unless you can be Batcatt, then always be Batcatt.

I've dunked peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in coffee my whole life. It's still my favorite treat.
