reminded me of young dexter

this movie could have easily been marketed as "adventures of young dexter".
the autistic freak was the spitting image of a young dexter. especially in the scene when he watched his "sister" stabbing the dude in fron of the tree. you could see something like "sudden admiration" for his pricky stepsis. the other scene was him watching the truck open and the bad dude coming out instead of his dad. the look of promising doom on his face was exactly the expression dexter often shows. i thought this was kind of brilliant. of course this could be coincidence for there are many troubled people like dexter and the autistic freak out there. but why then cast a guy that resembles so much dexter's appearance ;-)
