'The Ice Storm' did this them waaaay better.....

At least if you're going to steal an idea for a movie, make it better than the original. "The Ice Storm" deals with parents & their unhappiness and how it affects their children, but it does so much more powerfully and interestingly. This movie was boring and I honestly was pissed that in the end, the oldest daughter left the younger kids alone to deal with the parents at their absolute worst. I had higher expectations of Maggie and of the movie.
