With freezing temperatures occurring every night, all the greenery would be dead, yet it was a lush jungle.

All the animals have evolved to kill humans, yet there aren't any humans, so how would that happen?

Actually it shifted between very different real earth climatic zones, started in the redwoods, later went into some tropical forest. The premise was stupid, the absurd evolution of the animals with giant eagles and whatnot, made it seem like a second rate jurassic park. And all that change in just 1000 years seems absurd.
