Not bad

It wasn't bad for a chiller Friday night movie. The acting and special effects were on par with the what you would expect. One thing really bothered me, after they realized they were dealing with zombies no one was careful with getting contaminated. Every single character had enough zombie blood by their mouth and eyes to start a new apocalypse. Why bother struggling to survive if you are going to take a mouthful of zombie goo every time you kill one? They all would have turned after their first kill.

Agreed; not a bad movie if you don't think about it too much. My only question is did the two Vets (Frank & the Preacher) survive?

Into the mud, scum queen!
Who are you talking to?
Oh, just some scum queen.

My impression was yes, they did. They weren't of interest by the infected because they had developed an immunity when they were sprayed with chemicals while in the military, the preacher in Vietnam and the guard in Iraq. Maybe they didn't smell like "meat" to the zombies. Is that really believable? I guess it depends how much that all-important "suspension of disbelief" runs in the viewer. (Then again, it IS a zombie movie.) I thought it delivered, though. Very well done for a very small budgeted film., and it did introduce some original ideas to the zombie genre.

I too agree, not bad. I would have to rank it higher than Remains for sure, but it certainly had it's own share of flaws. I enjoyed the characters and found it to be entertaining.

It was surprisingly good for what it was. A lot better than I expected it to be.

The one thing that bothered me though, was how everyone apparently saw/described Tommi. She's an attractive girl that happens to like video games and sci-fi, that's it. But characters would call her a tomboy, specifically referencing the way she looked, what she wore, and her hair... Even though she looked feminine, wore pretty much the same clothes that most of the other girls in the movie wore, and she had approximately shoulder-length curly hair. I think one of the girls even described it as a "dyke haircut" which made no sense to me.

So did they just write that scene, then cast Madison Burge and either not bother to go back and change it, or make her look the way they described?

reply

I thought she was really hot, very pretty face, I don't have a clue why they built up this fake description of her, then again I don't know why they did anything they did in this crap-shoot.
