If the Melinda was both faking her death and pregnancy. I assume it's the blood of Melinda's mother but unless her mother was pregnant, which I find highly unlikely, where did the fetal tissue come from?
They said it at the end, Melinda stole if from the hospital after Ivy had her second miscarriage. This ensured that it would also have Ivy's husband as the father if they tested the dna. Melinda also stole Ivy's tooth brush and kept it in her bathroom in case they wanted to check it to match for the mother. Crazy elaborate plan.
