What's the deal with Mr. Longface?

He was basically written out of the show after season one. Was there some issue with his VA that they had to ditch the character? I don't remember him at all in season two, and only just learned a couple weeks ago season three even exists. I don't think Hub promoted that at all. Luckily it aired last week so I finally saw it and was surprised to see Longface mingling in the background in the masquerade party episode. But of course he didn't talk. It was weird to see him back again like he'd never vanished, and yet no one acknowledged him.

To be honest I'm surprised a third season was even made. Since season two only got half the episodes of season one and then went on a year long break I just assumed the show got cancelled. I wonder if there will be more episodes on the way next year.

I'm pretty sure Mr. longface is voiced by the same voice actor (Paul Dobson) that plays Berrykin Bloom and the Post Master (Funny the guy voices big villains/guys like Doctor Doom, Shuma Gorath, Juggernaut and Landmine LoL), so it had nothing really to do with the VA. I'm guessing know one really liked Mr. Longface to be honest and what he did in "SS: The Sky the Limited" didn't won him much fans. Sure he did kind of redeemed himself but he still left a bad impression. As for promoting season 3, dude, where were you back in February when The Hub was showing ads and commercials (I even saw some on Nick and Disney XD). The Third season brought big ratings to The Hub's Saturdays cartoon line up. Hope that answers you question. Excelsior!

Yeah, you're right--BRING BACK LONGFACE!!! Maybe he was on an extended trip during Season 2, but what's with the lack of lines? I love it when he's actually part of the plot. He's truly one of my favorite characters, and I can't imagine him not being loved by most viewers. In "The Sky's the Limit," you feel terrible for him, and just want him to stop torturing himself with the lie he's caught in and be forgiven...it's not something that makes you dislike the guy! Au contraire, he's always very appealing--even when doing something he shouldn't. His confession scene is so effin' sad!! ;o;

I really can't tell whether this show will get a fourth season. Might, might not. It's good, but hasn't drummed up anything like the viewership of MLP. (I think a lot of bronies aren't buying the concept that Berry Bitty City is evidently inhabited by no one except for six young girls, a giant caterpillar-man who may never turn into a butterfly/moth, and a lot of little mushroom-headed people who cut grass with scissors...xD)

I've heard that Pound Puppies likely isn't getting renewed, which stinks because it's probably the second-best Hub show after MLP (which is pretty much the only one guaranteed to continue until it really can't anymore--THANK CELESTIA AND LUNA!!!) The season (possibly series??) finale for PP was very good. Lucky's life will be sooo much easier now, living next door to the shelter!

Care Bears seems to be done after one season, which is okay with me, even though it was much better than people generally expected. Hasbro seems to have really hit their stride with the Hub shows. I guess LPS might get at least one more season after the one that recently began, too. (That last episode that just aired even used my "pet psychic" idea...that show can get pretty good sometimes, although I do wonder how much more can really be done with it, since most plots are stand-alones that revolve around the bizarre* day-camp group meeting some new animal[s] and resolving an issue or two that may or may not involve the dangnabbed Biskit twins. But we shall see.) So far I'm unimpressed with the Sabrina cartoon; hopefully they'll just stick with airing the live-action series. Dan Vs. and the Aqua Bats were good. SheZow is better than I'd anticipated, but still not a favorite. I don't make a point of watching the Transformers and such, but they're decent for what they are.

*Seriously--one dog and no cats, but a mongoose and a panda and a monkey/ape...?!? Even a hedgehog and skunk I can kinda buy, but really. Who the heck has these for pets?!
