Worst video game endings ever?

1) Red Dead Redemption

2) Dragon Age 2

Those are the only two that I can think of that are jarringly bad.

Red Dead Redemption's was so bad it was offensive, like someone walked up to you while you were sitting at the food court in the mall, then they suddenly stuck their d**k in your ear. It was THAT bad.

DA 2's ending was that bad, it was just bland and kind of sucky, like sh**ty rice pudding.

I thought the ending of Red Dead Redemption was excellent, but I can understand how some folk might not find it to their taste, but love it or hate it, there's no chance you'll ever forget it.

Red Dead Redemption had a western ending--one that truly fit the genre. I thought it was excellent.

DA2... yeah, the writers' dropped the ball with pretty much all of the last act of the game.

Bulletstorm also had a pretty lame ending.

The last act? Try the entire game.

I agree with Quionic7.

After hearing so much sh!t about the ending to DA2, I gotta say I ended up not minding it. It's not even amongst "the worst video game" endings at all.

Want a bad ending? Play KOTOR 2 or Jericho.

seriously? what exactly was wrong with RDR's ending? I thought it was excellent, certainly better than DA2's but even that one I didn't mind. The one I hated more than these two was L.A. Noire's, not in the gameplay but the aftermath.

After spending 20-30 hours getting attached to John Marston, seeing everything he went through to get his freedom, the ending was a giant middle finger to me. Imagine if the whores in Unforgiven really didn't have the money, or if Tom Chaney had gotten away in True Grit or if Will Kane died in High Noon. Kind of like that.

Plus, I had to finish the game with Jack, who was a putz.

And I forgot about KOTOR 2. That sucked big time. Like they had 40 pages of script left to write, but ran out of paper.

Eek. I did not think RDR was that bad at all. It was the only real way to end the game. Otherwise it would have just been "LOLZ AND EVERYTHING LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER". It may have been upsetting, but it certainly was there for a reason and wasn't just added to piss you off or because of time constraints.

DA2...well....I agree. I HATED it. It was so inconclusive and everything I did in the game (and the previous game, for that matter) didn't seem to matter at all. You sided with the Templars? Well guess what! You have to kill them too! Oops. Side with the mages? OH BUT THE LEADER HAS GONE *beep* CRAZY SO JUST KILL EVERYBODY! Aww....now everyone lives happily, vaguely ever after!

The first 2/3 of the game didn't matter at all.

It sucks. Almost Knights of the Old Republic 2 sucks. The gameplay was also a downgrade, but that's off-topic.

Only thing I liked was Fenris, and I'm probably the only (straight) male who thinks that.

P.S. If anyone is going to complain about spoilers, F U. Look at the title please. It's your fault.

The ending of RDR was fine for me, I love Spaghtti Westerns so it was not that much of a jar, many of the main characters end up dead in them.

I miss the red spoiler tags.

Some worthy ones have been mentioned, but few can match the sheer cop-out that was Halo 2's final scene.

Red Dead Redemption was a bad ending?
Nice joke.
