So why is his son black?

Or am I not supposed to ask that question?

Actually, there is a reason for that. Although it is a little odd the way you worded it. John (Paul Rudd) in the book, adopts a kid. The book goes into much more detail about this, but that is the reason why the child does not resemble his dad.

Thanx for answering and not going too "PC" on me, I mean some people are just too senstive on this stuff. It really doesn't matter to me but when a movie does it, I feel its a deliberate decision. I mean its just so easy to do a white kid but it seems they want it this way. I noticed the trailer I saw in theaters today doesnt have that scene and it edited differently.

It's fine, if I didn't read the book, I would be curious too. :)
