The poster looks good, but is the movie good?

Anyone know when they will put up people's star RATINGS?
Would be interesting to know what people who have seen it think of it.
Thanks.

I found this to be one of the scarier movies out there in the sense that the twins would appear throughout the movie and terrified the hell out of me. The acting and visual effects were excellent. I'd rank this up there with Texas Chainsaw or The Ring.

The plot has been done before but in this movie the ending of the movie really takes a turn in a way you'd not expect.

Highly recommend this one.

Excellent! Many thanks for sharing this. -- I will see it soon... I was just wondering if I should take the bad taste crowd, or the real horror fans. You answered that nicely.
Thanks.

It's a definitely a good film, it's got my seal of approval all the way. Not perfect, but a fine way to spend 90 minutes. The rating for it currently(3.6) is seriously faulty.

You're either a paid shill or someone who worked on this "movie". It's just a boring piece of you know what. The payoff completely sucks. The rest of it is just boring garbage. Most of it seemed like outtakes from the Twilight series. I want my 86 minutes back.

The dude with the giant glasses reminded me of Michael Cera for some reason

Yea half-wit, I just signed up to promote this film can you be any dumber? This blind assumption coming from someone who has to HIDE their rating history like a dirty secret huh?

My new film "The Human Octopede" stars two people & a couple of a-holes

So because you didn't like it, those that do must work for the film? That is major paranoia.

Nice to see different opinions on the film, and excellent to see there is at least one review now, but could you possibly elaborate on why you dislike it. Thanks.

Friends said they saw it and it made them "cringe" (not sure why) and they decided they could not take any more, and ONLY got to the "drug" party in the woods (right at the start)... I guess they didn't even want to give it a chance, but I have yet to see it, so I am curious.

Thanks for sharing ANY opinion. Good or bad... I am just interested in why the opinion.

I ultimately found that I didn't care about any of the characters in this movie because none of them came through with even the minimal depth necessary (even by B horror standards).

There are anomalies and discontinuities throughout that show an extreme lack of attention to detail in characters, scripts, and facts (both real-world and within the factual realm of the film). These aren't like things in the typical IMDB "goofs" section; they are actually quite intrusive and suggest a lack of proofreading rather than little production oversights.

The psychiatrist character is so ridiculously negligent that it's best to convince yourself that you don't know what a psychiatrist is before you watch the movie. (Because I get the impression that the writers didn't know what a psychiatrist was before they wrote the movie.)

I'm not sure if it was the script or the acting (or a combination of both) but the dialogue often had that awkward people-don't-really-talk-like-that element of silliness to it. Not the campy B horror kind, but the kind you would get if everybody intermittently stopped trying during filming.

Without spoiling anything, there's this (alleged) build-up to the ending... and then it turns out that what happens in the end... could have just happened at any time.

With spoiling anything, the ghosts spend all this time trying to communicate things about their killers and then in the end the ghosts just kill their killers anyway. Yes, the ghost girls just do it themselves.

The movie does look nice... but so do arsenic cupcakes.

Basically what bryan said, although in regards to the ending it seemed that the ghosts couldn't hurt their killers until they had the rings on.

The acting is really bad and the dialog isn't much better, but I will say that I was intrigued by the mystery aspect of it and everyone thinking the girl was crazy, but the twist of who the killers are was just so dull. You telling me the ghosts couldn't just oh, I don't know, POINT?

Don't try to cash in love, that check will always bounce.

I thought it was pretty fun, and the girl who plays the lead has a natural screen appeal and keeps it interesting. I she doesn't bring any real depth to the role, but she's believable and has a charisma of sorts about her. On the flipside, the woman playing the aunt is just plain horrible. She's a beauty for sure, but her delivery is painfully stale and unnatural, and definitely adds an after-school-special air to the parts she's in. I thought the story itself was more than solid. I gave it a five, but with a more consistently good cast, better direction, and and a little more accuracy here and there it could easily have been a 6 or better. As a low budget ghost story, it's very good.

I agree. The female lead definitely has something. I hope she makes more movies
