Ending

I would be interested to see this movie as long as the ending is not something ridiculous and predictable such as Samuel L. Jackson only being an imaginary friend. This ending is too common. If you've seen it, just let me know, yes or no. If no I will see it.

No, do go and see it. I read the book some time ago and it was great. As part of it, you are meant to start wondering about that ending, as the main character does, but that was not how it turned out in the end.

It's annoying to see how many ppl on this board (not yourself) are willing to dismiss this movie because they think they know the end from what they saw in the trailer. Personally, I think you should judge the movie after having seen it.

sam is not imagninarry, spoilers, he is possessed by the devil and when he dies at the end , the devil jumps into luke wilson which will most likely kill his wife (they don't show this, the movie just ends at that)

Don't worry, it's not a Fight Club ending. However, the movie isn't that good and the ending sucks and doesn't resolve anything.

Actually i thought the ending was quite good. The main reason the sj played with him comes from something he says a few times about them being "alot alike". He saw something in the character he recognized. The ending is just bringing that full circle. I admit it was a lil bit secret window-ish.. but that was one of the few problems i did not have with the movie.

Too bad it's not. "Fight Club" was good. This one is not.

It's a decent rental. The setup is intentionally a red-herring to make you believe Jackson is a violent schizoid projection of Wilson's frustrations. This gets really sloppily abandoned half-way through the film after 45 minutes of development.
