Like 12 Years a Slave, 2 Hours of beating and torture

Really needed a plot or comupance. Even some dialogue would have been more interesting. Amistad is a good modern abuse film.

It seems like you might've watched the movie on mute. Try again

@gtmail77 That might be why some people found the movie flat: its dialogue was pretty ordinary.

You don't always get revenge you thirst for, do you, no matter how long you thirst for it, the opportunity can simply not be brought about.

It was not just Zamparini who wanted to kill Bird, there was a whole body of prisoners had an actual plan drawn up to kill him as a mob, the book explains why that could not happen either.

One way or the other, for time being, the *beep* skated.Book explains in detail his life in hiding in various villages in years immediately after war's end.

That's an insult to 12 years a slave. McQueen is talented and brave. This on the other hand was cliche safe Hollywood diarrhoea.
