My favorite ending

My favorite ending for this story would be if the character of Kiefer Shuterland wasn't a killer, so he made up all this story, and the Priest at the end woulnd't stand to live with the killer lurking in the shadows, and commit suicide.

Just like the mother did.

The Priest couldn't stand to live with all the guilt, the responsibilities and the newspaper clipping of the murdered people that The confessor threaten he's going to send to him.

For me that would be a very good and unexpected twist.
