Predictable? Spoilers

I watched this as an hour long movie on Netflix. I don't know how I might have seen and understood things if I watched episode by episode. I read many reviews (on Netflix) saying they new how it was going to end early on or right in the middle. But I didn't see or even guess anything concerning the ending. I wouldn't think that a Catholic priest was formerly a husband and father. So I would have no reason the think the two were related until after the priest revealed that about himself, then I guessed their relationship. While I didn't know or think that the priest was the next intended target, it didn't shock me either. Nor was I "shocked" by the letting him live and suffer ending.
But I was just wondering did any of you see the ending coming any earlier than when the priest started confessing his worst sins?
