Just watched the entire series, from beginning to end. Awesome! Highly suggest all of you watch it! VERY Good!!!

Very nice. John Hurt made my eyes even a little watery.

Only gripe I have, the "balcony" scene was off to me.. acting etc atmosphere was just unconvincing.

My thoughts exactly... I personally feel that if the boy was hiding and not in plain view of his mother, it would have made a lot more sense. It's a shame that this scene was so off, because the rest of the series was spot on!

Agree, this is another excellent performance by Hurt

There was something unnatural about the tone of voice in both the young (future) priest and his wife. The young man sounded more like he was taunting her playfully rather than on the verge of beating her to death. There just wasn't any rage in his voice or face, or much genuine fear in hers.

Furthermore, I don't think that the flashback suicide scene was even necessary. All we needed was Sutherland's description of the events, Hurt's reaction, and our own imagination.

I don't like it and I don't understand it...I prefer Kiefer Sutherland in 24...
