Peregrin 'Pippin' Took!

Man, Billy Boyd absolutely makes this movie! He injects such manic energy into his role, and creates a character that anyone could relate to. I never thought I would see Pippin high on ecstasy, dressed as a Priest! "Ecstasy" is not as great as "Trainspotting" obviously, but it does make for a worthwhile companion piece to that film. It's interesting to see all the differences between the two drug scenes; skag/heroin is so radically different from ecstasy, so it makes sense that the people in each scene are also radically different. Another thing that makes this movie worth seeing, is the father/son relationship. Again it's fascinating to see two different generations dealing with two different addictions. Those scenes are among the most memorable in this film. It's worth a watch.
