asian female+white male pairing.

over used, cliche and tiresome.

damsel in distress meets white knight savior complexity.

reply

but they don't have the personalities of a damsel in distress and white knight...the couple doesn't bother me

reply

it just reinforces the stereotypes that

asian women seek white men. I, yet, have to see more exposure of inter racial that is not stereotypical - like black men with white women.

All rooted in colonial mentality. Its modern day of subtle racism.

Did it ever occur to you that there was an open casting call and she fit the part best? I know on Community, Troy was supposed to be a white jock.

And if you want to see a black male/white female relationship, watch The Chicago Code on Mondays. It's not hard to find because it's on the same damn channel.

Find something else to complain about.

reply

I like it, but I'm incredibly biased.

I see this is one of your favorite topics to post about...a lot.

Try singing a new tune because if you've seen the show, he's a total goof and she's in charge.

I like them as a couple (regardless of race)........ but humans love to complain so if this is all ya got then life is good!

"We've got movie sign!"

i admit I groaned when I first saw the married couple, but I think it came down to who was the best fit. Although, I feel like she was a good choice, David Denman has absolutely 0 charisma. Jos jokes always fall flat and he's definitely the weakest character to me.

They have no chemistry together, they try and emulate the relationship between Phil and Claire from Modern Family (immature husband and strict wife), but it seems so forced and uneven.
