Why don't the maskers do drag?

It's odd to me that these men buy these really expensive suits and masks when they could achieve a feminine look for much less using makeup.

It would also look less bizarre than the rubber masks they use and wouldn't require the care for the suit and the process of putting it on. They could pass much better in public and their voices wouldn't be muffled.
