How is this legal?

they are literally breaking and entering with nearly every plane they reposes. Also cant you talk to security to get in properly, if it truly is their plane then no need to break in correct?

reply

It's not breaking and entering if you have the paperwork from the bank or finance company and the court order to recover the asset.

The opposite of "pro" being "con" explains why the opposite of PROgress is...

So you can hop the security fence haul a plane out the hanger. Taxi out to a runaway without informing the control tower or submitting a flight plan and take off without calling the tower.

Even one wrong word from a pilot to the tower can cause a massive fatal accident the show is fake as South Park.

Some of those things may be against the airport's rules, but none of them are against the law. Few non-commercial airports are busy enough to cause an accident. No one files a flight plan for a short run.

Again, in case you missed it.

These events take place over hours, over days. Each segment gets 15 minutes per show (60 minutes, three packages, plus commercials, credits, etc.). Not every moment is shown, and not every airfield is a controlled airspace with a tower, manned 24/7.

The items repossessed are taken legally, as each 'operator' must have the bank's paper work in their possession, and they make it obvious that they post the repossession paperwork on the aircraft. Then they can remove it from the HANGAR (not hanger). Once that is done, it is no longer the debtor's property.

Now, is every 'package' shown filmed 100% as it happens? I can't say, I'm not there, and if you read the credits at the end of the show, you might find a statement about hat,, but they can't make things up from whole cloth, or they'd get called out on it (As happened on 'Storage wars').

I am 99.999% positive that mike and kevin have filed either a flight plan or a ferry permit with the faa. And yes no one takes off without communication with the tower. Both of these guys know this be cause its what they do. Just as i dont take shortcuts when working on an airplane

The thing that stands out to me, is that they always arrive in vehicles, and have to get through the fence. The logical thing to do, would be to fly-in and park on the ramp, and proceed to do whatever they need to do. Nobody questions arriving aircraft, whereas anonymous civilians arriving from public roadways are always suspect.

This is what Nick Popovich did (the guy who started this whole series and was part of the NON fake season that was real). They flew in as to not raise suspicion, and then could legally take possession of the aircraft quickly, so if there was any confrontation, they would already be in legal possession.
