My thoughts on the ending SPOILER

Just watched Skew which I thought was pretty good, was expecting an ending a bit like the ending to Session 9 with it turning out that Simon had killed everyone who had died.

So my thoughts on the ending, it had been established during the film that the funny faces did not show up on rewind, when we see Simon wipe the lens the last time he sees LT we know that she must have had a funny face so she died and that's why she wasn't answering the phone. We also see that Simon caught himself in mirror cursing himself.

My questions are:

Is that it? Was there any deeper meaning we were meant to take away from the ending?
What was the significance of the other shots highlighted during the final rewind, was that Richards shoe on the floor of Simon's hotel room? Eve looking into the abandoned service station? etc.
