The kid that throws the skateboard at Dominik..

Is that Alex?.....What was up with that kid...or Alex? Every time I watch this movie I feel like I missed a ton of stuff.

I looked and it was Alex? Why was he waving his arm like that? He did some weird arm wave and then Dominik gave him the finger and Alex threw his skateboard at him......can't believe I never realized that was Alex.

well, yes, it was Alex, and Dominik was Alex's secret boyfriend - sort of.

You see, Dominik likes Alex, and Alex likes Dominik, but Alex is bad person.
He's a tease, and does it all out of fun, but DOESN'T WANT WORLD [school, his friends] TO KNOW HE IS WHAT HE IS. So what you can see is waving him to back off, cause he's with his friends, and there is no place for someone like Dominik there.

What you see is pure hypocrisy, out of fear to be discovered for who he really is.

Oh, the humanity...

Hmm, good assessment. Everyone seems to be split between Alex really being into Dominik and him just being into the fun of it after they kissed. I'm inclined to agree with you. I think Alex had a thing for Dominik, but was a dick closet gay. I think some of this is backed up during the scene when Dominik finally goes back to school and as he is walking out Alex follows him with his friends, but if you look at the very last moment he tells his friends to back off. He doesn't REALLY want to hurt Dominik.

If they were real Dominik dying would probably bother someone like Alex for the rest of his life.
