Why does Wild Kratts make the brothers look like idiots?

First, they should put all four villains away in prison for charges including poaching, animal endangerment kidnapping, false imprisonment and a range of other charges. They should all have gone away for years and years.

Also, it makes it look like every animal they encounter and observe has never been encountered before by anyone or very few people. "This is a rarely seen event" or "No one has ever observed this behavior before"

Surely, the brothers don't get final say as to what goes into the show or they wouldn't look like complete morons
