Disappointing...fullstop.

It is what is known as a one trick pony.

That trick being making absurd (in the theatrical sense) caricatures of various genres, eras and characters.

For any semi discerning viewer, this trick wears very thin, very quickly if the writing isn't good enough to support it.

The writing IS not good enough to support it. Hence we are left with the caricaturing.....including the Thunderbirds stuff, the submarines, special effects etc. It then becomes a VERY weak parody.

"Take away the pain, but leave the swelling."
