silly

I have never watched this program and one of the things that made me ignore it is the silly statement shown in the previews...the guy "you almost beat with a golf club." Did she forget the rest of the lines or how can a person almost beat some..does that not mean you didn't beat them...duh...too many programs to choose from and not enough time. One that has either this poor writing or someone who messes up the lines and it is still allowed to air is not worth my precious tv viewing minutes

I find it amazing that someone who can't put a proper sentence together or spell, is being critical of the writers and the actors of this show and to add to that, has never watched it. What's that saying? Don't throw stones when you live in a glass house?

I have looked over my post and do not see the spelling errors or the incorrect grammar and sentence structure. Please point these out to me. And, that being said, I do not make my living as a writer. My comment was simply to make note of the sentence that caused me to wonder what the professional, paid writer was really trying to say. But please, since you took the time to let me know how poorly my post was written, you have taken upon yourself the task to educate me in proper writing. As my teacher, you cannot simply say I have made mistakes without telling me what these are.

As an afterthought...the fact that you would dismiss my comment on the basis that it might have spelling errors and be poorly written actually validates my first comment; the comment that I made saying that I believed that scripts, which are poorly written, should be dismissed. Thank you so much for agreeing with my comment, no matter which round about route you took to do it. And hey, I don't even get paid to put out such dribble, nor do I subject a viewing audience to my unlearned pennings...unlike the KING writers. I appreciate your support and agreement on what constitutes writing that should be taken seriously.

In actual fact, based on the episode, the statement was correct. One person attempted to hit another with a golf club but was stopped in the act (grabbed from behind by a police officer). Hence "you almost beat with a golf club." Don't judge something silly until you know the context.

That said, it's not the best show nor is it the worst. For a Canadian tv show, it's not bad at all (and that is not meant as an insult just that I don't believe the networks there have the money to throw into the making of tv shows that we do in the US).

I'd rather be a smartass than a dumb one!
