I've stopped watching the show

The lead actress is just too gross.

Her body is very unattractive to look at. It's so bad it spoils the show for me.

And there is NO WAY she is believable as a cop. Those skinny arms and legs could never take on even a 50 pound perp.

Another comment about this actress from APF FAN. I wonder what APF stands for?

Man this party is like an orgy at a campsite......its ***king in tents.

I barely notice her face because I am so distracted by her body.

Her face - I guess her face is OK - pleasant in some ways and in a sense I guess attractive. At least she doesn't look like Sarah Jessica Parker.

But her facial shape is NOT what I want to spend time looking at. Too long and tall and thin.

But the main issue is with now little flesh there is on her "bones."

She just does NOT have a feminine body. I want to look at curves and softness.

And some women can get away with skinny - IF they are graceful. One of the great things about thin women is they MOVE differently than large women.

But whatever her name is just moves like an oaf. That is gross and I am not going to choose watch. It is not pleasant or attractive.

I just saw APF on Criminal Minds - and I have to say - she looks WAY BETTER than on King. Way better.

I guess it helps that on that show we don't see skinny arms, and I almost can't remember what her face looks like on King now, but on Criminal Minds there seems to be a few more pounds on her face - and that is a HUGE improvement.

I actually find her attractive on the Criminal Minds episode.

Edit/Update: Well, I was wrong about something. I figured out that an episode of King is on right now, so I started recording it on my PVR (2 minutes into the start of it) and I am not simultaneously watching Crim Minds and the current episode of King - and I was wrong about APF's face.

Her face is not any thinner in King, it is just less flattering in King, but the major yuck I noticed 1 minute into the show was Amy walking down the stairs (of Old City Hall in Toronto) with another woman.

She is just NOT graceful ! She is walking bowlegged and the WAY SHE MOVES is one of the things that turns me off.

Back to watching both shows at the same time ....

And there is a significant difference to how much more flattering Crim Minds makes her appearance look. Kudos to the director of photography etc.

Bill, I know what you mean.

While I think Amy is quite thin for her frame and an extra 10lbs wouldn't hurt her, I don't think she is ugly at all.

In fact, quite the opposite. She's really beautiful, especially her smile. And I love her hair. And her eye color.... lol

BUT... you're dead-on when you talk about the way she moves. I'm pretty sure that this has to do with the *character*.

Jessica King spends her days in 4-5" heels or her rubber crime scene boots. Not only do the heels look ridiculous, but they're bound to affect your mobility! I say cut them down to 2" and let the woman walk a little more "normal". She's in a copshop most of the day, no need for evening wear shoes that nobody would wear for more than a couple of hours anyway.

That's a production decision, based on the traits of the character. King has a shoe fetish. And poor Amy has to try and navigate stairs, etc... in those ridiculous heels.

But all the female cops I've ever seen are stick thin and look like you could snap one of their arms in half if you sneezed on them, and they ALL wear 5 inch heals all the time :)

I don't recall if it was in the King forum, or somewhere else, but someone was pointing out that hollyweird producers have a fetish for making female cops look like toothpicks - like the show Bones, etc. (OK, she's not exactly a cop - but you know what I mean)

And in the previews I've seen for the new cop show - I think it's something like NYC 22, the female cop does NOT look believeable. She is again, too THIN, and from the 2 seconds I've seen her on the screen in the previews - I DO NOT believe she is a "real" cop.

Sarah Jones on Alcatraz has curves.

She's cute as hell, AND she isn't a stick figure. I get the feeling she's pretty short.

Sorry, I was sleepy when I wrote that. I should say that there is a significant trend for tv and movie producers to put anorexic women in the role of police women and action heroes. Examples would be the movie Hanna, and any of the movies with Angelina Jolie, etc.

That's why I love the English. Look at their shows. Their shows are character driven, not about how someone looks. Americans spend too much time about appearances. The OP has not said one thing about the show, the plots, the acting, but yet spent time and created a post to discuss the look of the actress. Amy Price-Fisher is a good actress. Did you see her in The Cleaner with Benjamin Bratt? She was great in that. She was also really good in The Chicago Code, which was recently cancelled.

Have a problem with a show if you wish, but to tear down an actress and find fault with, either she is too slim, her arms are too long, she has bow legs, she's not graceful, wow! You posters are some piece of work! Check out the British on the BBC shows. Their Law and Order: UK; their Miss Marple series; and their Life from Mars which the Hollywood copied among many others. They don't always cast extremely attractive or thin actors, but their shows are intriguing, so much so that Hollywood does remakes of them, but instead casts beautiful bods, and sometimes the acting is atrocious.

APF is a good actress, and either the show is good or it isn't, but stop focusing on how she looks, is my opinion, and I'm sticking to it.

This is my signature and I'm sticking to it. lol

Another blind and moronic idiot posting a negative thread about a beautiful and talented actress!

I will not equivocate – I will not excuse – I will not retreat a single inch – AND I WILL BE HEARD!

WHY is how many pounds she weighs so big a deal here?

Seriously? I just saw this show and I wanted to hear people talking about something interesting, maybe learn something about the show and I find THIS? Some poster moaning about her needing an extra ten pounds?

Is that IT?

And the comment about her being too tall? She's five - seven... jesus murphy...

Is that what you watch a show for? To measure how much fat is on people's bones?

This is cinema, not a fashion show...

I can think of a dozen reasons to explain why it makes perfect sense for her to be so damn thin... but I really dont' CARE... it's a silly discussion.

I thought there would be intelligent conversations about performances, directing, or the great writing, but I find THIS?

You think her weight is a let down for you? I come here and find this idiotic complaint...THAT is a disappointment.
