Lone Star Mystery

So there was a marathon going on and all the episodes, as tacky as they were, made sense and it seemed up until the Lone Star Mystery one the killers would confess or they would find DNA evidence that kills any doubt.

Then this Lone Star episode airs, but they never explained the motive which bugged me and the whole thing was very suspicious. In all the previous episodes, I never doubted the recollection of the detectives -- they all seemed confident and genuinely truthful. But in this one, the lead investigator Lt. Jeff Collins was very hard to believe. His comments and the way he kept looking away from the camera at certain comments was waaay sketchy. So I had to go online to see what came out of this and its just more suspicious now...

He filed for appeal and evidence he had was fairly strong. It sounds like they are doing a 2nd round of DNA tests now with evidence that was never done the first time (hair strands in the victims hands, they never tested any of the blood found in the bathroom for DNA, they never tested hair strands found in the bathroom, etc) and there are some very odd things that the show never mentioned (regarding the fact the dagger they show at the end was NOT the weapon used in the stabbing). I think the icing on the cake was the fact the attorney generals office had the sheriff's office illegally recording Brandon's phone call with his attorney.

Something just doesn't sit right about this case and episode.

It seemed like a clear case to me.
