Think this is inspired by Skins UK?
I hope so because I love that show. It also seems that's it's started off on the right foot by titling it something different. Imagine the backlash of Skins AUS.
I'm excited and think it has potential. I like that its in a Brisbane town also, away from the popular busy cities of Sydney and Melbourne.
One of the trailers does 'copy' the Skins series 5 trailer with the cast in the water and then to a party similar to the series 3 trailer.
I'm not a hater, just an observer. And I'm hoping this show rocks!

I can defiantly see a lot of similarities between Slide and the UK Skins... both shows are 1000x better than the US skins lol.

It's very obviously inspired by skins. No, make that inspired by the staggering popularity of skins. Hey it's a fun show though.

I think you mean the party similar to Series 1, not 3. 3 wasn't a party, it was a pub brawl ;)

But yeah, I'd say Skins has definitely influenced SLiDE. To be fair though, any time a show is created that features teenagers partaking in sex/drinking/recreational drugs people are going to accuse it of copying Skins. I think SLiDE is surprisingly good (I know I certainly wrote it off as being a bogan Skins before I watched it). It's not as dark and angsty as Skins, it's more lighthearted and joyful. Nothing will beat the first gen of Skins UK but SLiDE is still pretty great!
