How does this help the situation in Burma?

Anyone?

Well for those who don't watch or care about the news it brings them a true story of one woman's non-violent fight for democracy to their attention.

It may well allow her to continue that fight because they would see that making her a martyr would not be a smart move on their part.
Burma deserves freedom and democracy just like any other country and leaders around the world should be helping and not work to keep the regime in power.

The film does that! Then it helps.

This is a story that should be told and seen.
The film is very good but alas not a master piece.
Some of those who helped to film this are now in prison.
This film has brought Burma to the attention of common people around the world.
This is not good news to the Generals in power.

Love film love cinema keep the suits at bay.

Were you thinking that movies that are made of real-life situations must bring about societal change?
