It surprised me; really enjoyed this movie...
It was a lot better than I thought it would be, based on the premise (not to mention the humble production and seemingly-nonexistent publicity). But it's a solid 7 out of 10, in my opinion...
The plot and dialog is what drives this movie; and while the latter isn't quite as polished as it could be, the actors do a great job of saving it from triteness and making the quirky drama engaging and believable.
The producers definitely got the biggest "bang for their buck" with the cast, by the way... They aren't exactly "A-listers" in Hollywood, but the principle actors are at the higher end of the spectrum in their own class, and they all deliver a strong performance. Katee Sackhoff really shined, too; it almost seems like the role was written with casting her in mind...
Anyway, it's a really cool flick that reminds me of a genre we don't see much anymore... It's kind of reminiscent of movies like "Two Girls and a Guy" or "Tape," both of which are excellent, understated slow-burners.
