1 - About Nathan's real name. When I was playing, I already knew that this plotline wasn't going to be well-explored, because I had read something about it on the internet, so at the moment when Marlowe mentioned this, it seemed obvious to me that Naughty Dog was leaving this out for the next game or something. Then, as the plot progressed, I don't know what was it, but something kind of told me that that was it. You know? I don't really know what was it, but I got the feeling that there's no real intention to further explore this. So my question is this... do you think this issue about Nathan's real name and why he changed it will be further explored in the next game? Or do you think we should just assume that he kind of got obsessed with Francis Drake and that's why he changed his name?

2 - I kind of remember hearing Marlowe saying something about searching for Nate's ring for 400 years or something??? What was that all about?

1 - I dunno - it took till the third game for them to really explain why he didn't seem to have any family so maybe they'll delve into what his real name is at some point, but it's pretty open at the moment isn't it!

2 - Katherine Marlowe is part of some secret order, and it's the order that has been looking for 400 years.

I think they rushed the plot to try and finish the game ASAP so they can focus more on The Last Of Us, as they know uncharted 3 was gonna sell well anyway, they then shifted production to they're new IP, and i also think they can produce more power from the PS3 for their new game as there were alot of great effects and lighting thats wasn't explored as much in UC3, so I think they will be making the most out of it in TLOU and go out with a bang, then onto PS4.

They didn't rush the game to work on TLOU - at the time they had one team working on Uncharted and the other on TLOU. They did struggle to meet the deadline they had set for themselves though, which is why they haven't announced a release date for TLOU yet.

The game was shorter than 2, thats because they didn't have a full team working on it, unlike UC2.
You've got to be stupid to think that the 2 teams are completely seperate, there would be alot of staff working on UC3 and TLOU at the same time.

I think Nate's family could come up in a future game. Marlowe said his father dumped him at an orphanage - but perhaps he had good reason? Maybe he went on a quest of his own and Nate will follow in his footsteps, it could be quite funny to have Nate's dad and Sully the surrogate dad trying to get along.

The lute is the coolest of all medieval stringed instruments.
