One thing I didn't understand...(spoiler -ish)

I may have missed some dialogue, but one thing I didn't get:
After the little girl gets abducted, one of the cops tells Jon Voight that the mother's (Teri Polo), polygraph test results showed that she was being deceptive. I didn't see any follow-up about that... and later on, near the end, when Voight is putting together the details about the abduction, he thinks about Polo's polygraph results as deceptive (in a voice-over). But, nothing came of her deceptive lie-detector test.

Was it explained at the end?

It was explained that due to the situation the mom was dealing with the poly could have been effected. Lame.

ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS HOW CAN THEY GET AWAY WITH MAKING SUCH SUPID DUMB MOVIES AND SOME PEOPLE THINK THEY ARE GOOD. GIVE ME A BREAK. HOW MANY MOVIES DO PEOPLE HAVE TO SEE BEFORE THEY KNOW WHEN THEY HAVE SEEN A GOOD ONE OR NOT. I HAVE BEEN WATCHING MOVIES FOREVER AND I KNOW A GOOD ONE WHEN I SEE IT. JUST LIKE ANYTHING ELSE.
