Truth

Any reason why they turned around the facts by having someone in the prosecutors office turn the case around? The truth was even more shameful. All persistence to neutrally investigate this case had to come from an outsider, a doctor who initially noticed that the hospital investigating its own case was fishy, and started looking into the case and involving other people. No one in the justice department or prosecutor's office ever showed the initiative to question what happened. This had to come from outside. While I do understand that a story needs to be condensed as well as dramatized, this is one truth that I would have liked to have seen honored in a movie retelling.

Unfortunately this approach would have taken up too much screentime and caused too many dramatic problems, while now we could focus on the inner workings of the Prosecution and of course on Lucia herself.

Don't forget that there WAS an anonymous source in the Prosecutor's office, who contacted Lucia's lawyer.

The story of the 'outsider' will be told in a future TV-series, made by another producer.

Thanks for the explanation, that is really most appreciated.

What I failed to add when I wrote this, is that despite this one "problem", the film really did turn into a fantastic movie, both in terms of movie making crafts and pure viewing experience. Impressive. Thanks for your efforts on that.
