He gave an interview around the time his was making this film, saying how movies these days contain too much violence - all about wife-beating and villainy, apparently. Good then that he's stuck to his principles and despite having made a career from this very specific genre chose to take on the role of a wife-beating, gangster thug. Integrity, that's what I value in an actor.
