I personally got the vibe that the relationship between Daniel and Chelsea is more of a brother sister dynamic than a sexusl one.

Originally, that was the case, but developed into something more as the film progressed. I've no idea as the actor who played Daniel looks like he has a melty face and a girl like Chelsea would be way, way out of his league.
