What Duke Nukem Forever could have been...


I'm glad to see this looks very promising. I loved Duke Nukem Forever for what it was, but for the standards of the time it was finally released, it was nowhere up to par. This looks to be landing it in every aspect. From the new/updated side to the retro throwbacks.

This is actually more true than I think you are aware of. This is what DN:Forever SHOULD have been like. This type of gameplay is what Duke Nukem is all about. Fast paced and colorful, humor-like violence. This type of game would be perfect for DN. Doom on the other hand, not so much.

How is this not what Doom should be Vigilante? The first 2 were all about constant movement and over the top shooting violence.

If we could mix Prey (2006) with Bulletstorm (2011) then we would have a proper Duke Nukem Forever.

Neither DooM (2016) nor Duke Nukem Forever included a kick button, thus they were not true to Duke in any shape or form.
