His relationship with his mother

When he is setting up the AI, it ask him about his relationship with his mother. Did it had any effect on the result of the Samantha created?

Yes, when the program asked him that question Theodore said his mother used to talk over him all the time and at some point (more or less in the middle of the movie) he interrupts Samantha while she's talking and she gets bossy and tells him to let her speak. I believe that's the only connection

I think it's more symbolic as to how your relationship with your parents (and their relationship with each other) helps form your love relationships when you're an adult...

I thought it had to do with the age of the OS voice. First, it asked if he wanted a male or female. Sense he choose female, I guess the age of the OS would determined if the sound of an older woman wouldn't or would remind him of his mom.

Do I have to give it to you?
