What happened to Leila?

We go from her wanting to hug her dad in the courtroom, to giving her dad lip at every visit. It seemed really out of character real fast.

From what I understood is that she resented him for having to live at that place, seemed she hated it there. In a scene she said how her glasses were not cool to wear, probably was bullied. But I agree with you it wasn't played well.

I looked up deleted scenes on YouTube and Leila WAS bullied. It was a very poor choice to delete that scene. It was the bridge that explained her change of attitude.

Yeah, but the plot still seems weak. Her character feels like she should be caring enough to realize his father wasn't the only person to blame on. Then, when she learnt he's going to fight again, she went really excited. Then went angry again quickly. That's kinda lack of consistency for the character.

Not really, man. Psychology of a pre teen can be CRAZY! Puberty makes people want to kill their older brother. When I was 12, I literally chased my older brother with knives and threw one at him hitting him in the back. I pulled my dad's loaded Walther ppk on him twice, but he closed his bedroom door so I couldn't shoot him. I was 12! My dad had to hire a security guard to guard us when he was at work. My Mom sent me to a psychiatric place for a month. I was highly psychotic, but a year prior, I was harmless and nice. Puberty changes people. And if She was bullied, as she was, Her MOM DIED, and she was living with strangers, that's a complex thing to deal with. She got Happy about her father fighting but She got angry because She counted it as another rejection. She knew her dad had to succeed and she always wanted to be treated like an adult, which was cute. He eventually capitulated and let her watch his comeback fight win. So, with her, it was always about being there for Her dad, but He never let her watch because of her age. It makes sense. Things aren't always Linear in life, nor should they be in art/film/television.

Yeah, I see your points.

And after leaving my previous comment, I saw a bunch of deleted scenes (https://www.youtube.com/user/jesserose116/videos). My opinion is that the movie isn't close to complete without those scenes.
