Why didn't Sutton get them to take her finger prints?

I'm on season 1 where she gets arrested as Emma, why doesn't she tell them to take her finger prints to prove she's Sutton? Also I highly doubt they chase her to another state for petty theft.

Emma was a minor in the foster care system. So once there was word of where she "was", it's not farfetched the cops would show

You need to have the prints on file for that to work. Her prints doesnt give any info on their own.
