Played on PC using an Official Xbox Gamepad

I like the way the gamepad just needed to be plugged in and was ready, no configuration needed.

There are parts in the game though which require the keyboard too during combat.

It is incredibly hard to hold the gamepad in one hand while trying see the letter I am supposed to press (so very dark in most cases) while being attacked.

Things which allow for careful aiming I usually use the mouse, but I have got pretty good with the gamepad, well good enough up to this point.

I am currently in the cave where wolves block my path out after retrieving the transmitter for Roth. I have tried repeatedly to see the letter I need to press but the wolf kills Lara each time before I see it. I cannot see it. A circle appears and flashes, there is something in it, I cannot see what it is, Lara dies.

Yesterday after the umpteenth time trying, I just gave up and said, "Can't be arsed."

There were other points in the game when these letters appear and they were frustrating but I saw them eventually, but this one, I keep trying to no avail. It is boring me to tears now.

Can somebody tell me what to press and even better, is there a list I can print so I am ready in future parts.
