Suggestions for New Voice Actress for Lara Croft

Apparently Crystal Dynamics is looking for a new voice for the young Lara Croft by trialling "unknown voice actors."

Keeley Hawes actually had some acting chops and had done things for television and movies before voicing Tomb Raider. I felt she a perfect fit for Lara (Granted, I only started playing the Tomb Raider games after "Legend", when she had the role.)

So, who should be the new voice of Lara Croft? Just a suggestion, I think Gemma Arterton would be perfect for the part. She's been in a whole lot lately, but I've liked her a lot since Quantum of Solace. If she'd be willing to do voice work, her voice is perfect for Lara: youthful, English, and sexy as Hell.

Any thoughts or other suggestions?

I also started playing the games with Keeley Hawes doing the voice and I think it'll seem weird with her not behind the role but I can see that she might sound too old to play a young Lara who's in her late teens / early twenties.

I think Gemma Arterton would be a great choice but I think she might be a bit TOO big to do the voice of a video-game character.

Sometimes I don't read the ends of posts because I assume they're signatures.

Gemma is a brilliant choice for a young Lara. I loved Keeley as well, as she embodied Lara perfectly. Anyway, Gemma is not too big to do voice work for a major game title. Look at Call of Duty: Keifer Sutherland, Gary Oldman and more recently, Sam Worthington all did major voice work. I suppose it depends on the project and how much they pay.

Gemma Arterton is a good choice. I have only seen Keeley Hawes in Spooks.

Emilia Clarke or Gemma Arterton would be bloody amazing. I like Luddington but damn, her voice was annoying in the game. It made Lara sound like a teenager rather than a strong woman.
