and which Tomb Raider do you think had the hardest levels?

HArdest and best of all is definately TR3. I played them all, since the second game arrived. I didn't play the first one, when it was new, but I played it later.

Also, have in mind that my list is regardless of graphics, the games are rated as they were IN THE TIME they were developed. Logicaly, if TR2 was made yesterday, no one would play it, but for the time it was amazing.

So my list is;

1. TR3 - the best, the longest and the hardest.
2. TR2 - a little to short, but still great and quite hard
3. TR5 Amazing game, after dissapointing TR4
4. TR (original) - really good and original game for its time. Still fun to play.
5. TR7 (LEgend) Refresing new style of Tomb raider. To bad it was to easy and to short
6. TR Anniversary - great game.

Ok, these are all great games, and the next ones I didn't like much;

7. TR (reboot) Amazing graphic, nice character development, nice story. And that's it. Game is so easy and stupid to play. It's a good game, but not a good tomb raider game. Tomb raider should be smart, and that you have to think while playing. This one is just like some Wolverine game or something, but even less fun. I still like it better than Underworld and TR AOD
8. TR8 (underworld) - the game is so full of bugs, that I coulndt even finish it.
9. TR 6 Angel of darkness - akward moving, akward story, award game. And so totaly boring, that I coulnd finish it either

Ok, thats it from me, tell me if you agree.

Best: TR Underworld, Legend and Anniversary
Second: TR 1

Worst = TR Reboot !

Yes, the new one is technically great but more LOST than TR.

Yes, TR should be full of secrets, full of amazing moves that you can do, and full of riddles and hidden paths. Reboot has none of that, it's just "now press this button". Plus there is nothing to explore, everything just falls in your path.

I agree. I miss the old ones.

Hmm. I'd say best would be Tomb Raider 2 simply because of the story and the progress of the story, how she goes to one place and then soemthing happens so she ends at another place and then that leads to another place and it's mostly because of something that goes wrong. Loved the Venice level with the classical music.

Then I liked 3 and 4 for different reasons. I've always liked an Egypt atmosphere, so I enjoyed it for that reason, but Tomb Raider 3 had more variety of atmospheres, like the tropical island, and then london etc.

Tomb Raider 1 I played after 3 I think, so it was good, but a bit older.

Tomb Raider 5 is the only one I haven't finished, the game is just awkward.

Then Legend I liked the new idea of the comm set, talking to the guys, that was interesting and it was a good game.

Underworld I think for being on ps3, wasn't what I expected, never been able to play it a 2nd time.

Then there's Tomb Raider... I did like, I thought it was awesome. I think it could've done with more movies, not the ingame graphics movies but the intro type quality, every tomb raider, except 1 had some decent hard core graphics movies, and then you get the in game movies. Not sure what the correct terms are but yeah.

And then I waited for the dual pistols, kept wondering why they left that out. There's a scene when SPOILERS Roth dies, and then the camera shows close up of the two pistols, so I thought awesome, finally but then nothing happened. Oh well at least at the end she did and it was in a climatic way, which was awesome. The scale could have been a bit bigger, like a massive tomb or a massive area... but I get it, awesome graphics took enough space on the disc.

I think the older TR games have something about them that's sorely missing the recent TR games. The old ones were hard as hell, TR1 TR3 & Last Revelation were hardcore in terms of challenging puzzles.

I hear so many mixed things about the new game, I still haven't played it yet because I don't want to be disappointed.

The new game is breath taking in scope, but its nothing like the original series of games... poor Lara never gets the chance to breath, and keeps taking a beating.

Agreed, I finally got the chance to beat the game last night, I got it last Thursday and I finally beat the game last night, it was really fun and it had some really cool challenges too. I really enjoyed it, I think I liked that it more than Legend. Legend was one game that didn't feel much like a Tomb Raider game to me. I didn't like how Lara talked in Legend, it just didn't sound like stuff Lara would say. I loved Anniversary but I found Underworld (PS3) to be really disappointing & bad.  I LOVED the cutscenes though, I think that was the BEST thing about that game. I think AoD was really underrated, just wished that Core had the chance to finish that game. I think the old Core Design games were the hardest in terms of puzzles. TR1, TR2, TR3, Last Revelation, Angel of Darkness holy crap were they hard! Chronicles was pretty fun too, nice throwback to the original in the first level when you're dealing with Pierre & Larsen. 

Tomb Raider 2013 was the ultimate tomb raider experience. Who else was overjoyed to see lara return to our gaming screens this year?

It's been a LONG time (to the point I'm starting to replay these), but from what I can remember:

1. Tomb Raider 2 - Genuinely hard, puzzles require thought. Ups the action without going overkill. Being able to save anywhere is nice. Also liked the variety of locations

2. Tomb Raider 3 - By FAR the best locations in the series, each one is incredibly varied and defined. Also loved being able to pick your order between London, Nevada, and Pacific Islands (though poor anyone who didn't luck into choosing Nevada first). That said, this is ruthlessly hard to the point it feels like trolling. Still, I could see it being my fav. on a replay

3. Tomb Raider (Original) - Obviously the most innovative, and it is genuinely challenging. That said, 2 and 3 take what it did and expand on it. A lot. Also, while all of the original Tomb Raider games are a bit clunky, this one is by far the clunkiest

4. Tomb Raider: Anniversary - Playing through it now. It's not hard (so far), but it is genuinely challenging. Definitely requires a fair amount of thought, and puzzles are good without being overly frustrating. QTE boss fights are a letdown, but

5. Tomb Raider: Legend - First one I ever beat. It's fun, and it did a good job modernizing the series. That said... it's way too easy from memory. Most the puzzles are especially simple. Still, it's a good installment, and Amanda is probably the best villain of any TR game. I also enjoyed the varied locations quite a bit. It's also playable and feels like a Tomb Raider game (if an overly easy one), which is more than I can say for the next two.

6. Tomb Raider (2013) - Good action game, terrible Tomb Raider game. Don't know who told Crystal Dynamics the focus should be entirely on the action (which is done well, but) and NOT the puzzles (which aren't present at all), but f-ck them. Also disliked being confined to one location in contrast to the various levels previous games used. Even more infuriating is this is the most praised of the series, meaning that trend is going to continue. Takes the game from being simply disappointing to actively upsetting. Oh, and why the hell is Lara's signature weapon a bow and NOT her pistols? The f-ck? It's like a Tomb Raider game made by someone who knows nothing about Tomb Raider games.

7. Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness - Simply put, the others are objectively playable. This is not. Crippling bugs, unbearable controls, rushed level design (for the handful I could even stomach). The game was released LONG before it was finished.... and it really shows. All around disaster.

Not played enough of Last Revelation, Chronicles, or Underworld to rank, though I enjoyed what I COULD play of them all to varying degrees (minus the godawful Underworld camera)
