Actually pretty good
The Speed channel is home to some of the worst automotive shows ever made and is pretty much dominated by NASCAR related junk these days, but the first few episodes of The Car Show are pretty entertaining.
shareI actually find The Car Show to be pretty good and prefer many of the episodes to Top Gear US. I do wish they would spend less time in the studio, dropped John Salley, and removed the toy car track bit though.

I like the show a lot more than I thought I would. I actually wish Salley was still on the show, which is now 30 minutes instead of an hour. What's with that?
shareI found that odd too. I don't know what they're thinking. At least the toy racetrack segment is gone.
shareYeah, the racetrack thing was pure fluff, and also a rip-off (whether they're aware of it or not) of segments they'd do on WRC preview shows like Rally XS. :p
They also pretty much don't have guests on the show anymore, which is...I dunno, good and bad. Some were good, some I couldn't care less about. And they only spoke for a couple of minutes anyway.
One thing I miss is Adam's rant at the end! Those were funny and true! Things I may not have thought of or noticed before, but made perfect sense.
I guess the extra 30 minutes the channel has gained by chopping the show in half is probably going to Nascar or Barrett-Jackson. Heh. Other than The Car Show, the only thing I watch on it is My Classic Car. That's barely enough to justify paying for it!
